The Association's Sports of Forces Armed Royal (Arabic: الجمعية الرياضية للقوات المسلحة الملكية; AS FAR), (Arabic: نادي الجيش الملكي), is a professional sport club based in Morocco's capital (Rabat-Salé), that competes in Botola, the top tier of Moroccan football, which they never have been relegated from.
The club was founded in 1958, 3 years after Morocco had gained their independence, and is one of the most famous football clubs in Morocco. ASFAR is an abbreviation for Sports Association of the Royal Armed Forces.
ASFAR is one of the most successful clubs in Morocco with 30 titles in total : 12 Botola Pro1, 11 Morocco Throne Cup, 4 Moroccan Super Cup, 1 Botola Pro2, 1 African Champions League and 1 African Confederation Cup. Also he is the first Moroccan team to win the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1985, and has never been relegated to the Moroccan Second Division. Together with historical rival Wydad AC , the matches between the parties are known as "Moroccan Clasico", and their local rivals whom they contest the big "Capital City Derby" is FUS Rabat.
