Glycated hemoglobin (glycohemoglobin, hemoglobin A1c, HbA1c, less commonly HbA1c, HgbA1c, Hb1c, etc., also A1C informally with patients) is a form of hemoglobin (Hb) that is chemically linked to a sugar.
