The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) is an independent network of banks and banking cooperatives with a shared mission to use finance to deliver sustainable economic, social and environmental development. The GABV comprises of more than 60 financial institutions worldwide; serving close to 70 million customers, holding up to US$210 billion of combined assets under management, and supported by close to 77,000 workers.
The GABV was founded in 2009. Membership is based upon a charter to use finance to find global solutions to international problems—and to promote a positive, viable alternative to the current financial system.
The secretariat is headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The GABV also provides learning and development opportunities for senior executives, experts and employees at member banks.
