GamesMaster is a British television programme, screened on Channel 4 from 1992 to 1998 and Challenge from 2003 to 2004 and was the first UK television programme dedicated to computer and video games. It was hosted by Dominik Diamond for six of its seven seasons, and featured the talking head of amateur astronomer Sir Patrick Moore as a futuristic "Games Master". The format of the show was a combination of game reviews and gameplay challenges. A hit with its target audience of adolescent boys and well timed to benefit from the boom in 16-bit console sales, the show was a ratings hit.
