The Motor City Machine Guns are an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. The team most recently worked for Impact Wrestling, where they are two-time Impact World Tag Team Champions. The team name, which has been variably Motor and Murder City, is a play on the nickname of Detroit, the hometown of both Shelley and Sabin.
Overall they are three-time World Tag Team Champions, having won the TNA/Impact World Tag Team Championship twice and ROH World Tag Team Championship once during a stint in Ring of Honor (ROH). They also previously appeared in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where they were one-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. Originally created in Pro Wrestling Zero1 in 2006, the team disbanded and reunited several times; they disbanded once again, when Shelley retired on July 24, 2018. They made a surprise return at Slammiversary in 2020 and in the following tapings defeated The North to become Impact World Tag Team Champions.
