The Nissan Quest is a minivan that was marketed by Nissan from the 1993 to 2017 model years. The first Nissan minivan developed specifically for North American sale, the Quest replaced the Nissan Vanette and Nissan Axxess in the United States and Canada. Competing against the Chrysler minivans, the Quest was the first Japanese-brand minivan manufactured in the United States, leading to the later Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.
The first two generations of the Quest were produced and developed in a joint venture with Ford Motor Company; the latter company manufactured the model line, branding its own version as the Mercury Villager. For the 2004 model year, Nissan ended its joint venture with Ford, manufacturing the Quest on its own. For the 2011 model year, the fourth-generation Quest was manufactured in Japan, becoming a widened version of the Nissan Elgrand minivan. For all four generations, the Quest shared a chassis and powertrain loosely derived from the Nissan Maxima.
Following the decline of minivan sales in the United States and Canada, Nissan ended sales of the Quest after the 2017 model year, with its role of a three-row vehicle largely overtaken by the Nissan Pathfinder and Nissan Armada SUVs; the related Elgrand remains for sale in Japan.
