Answer: What is Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution mean?

The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI) cares for older Freemasons and their families as well as people in the wider community. Founded in 1842 by Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex, they now provide a home for over 1,000 people across England and Wales, while also providing non-residential support services.

The RMBI is one of four central Masonic Charities that support Freemasons and their families through donations from the Masonic community.

The RMBI Head Office is based in Freemasons’ Hall in Great Queen Street along with the Freemasons’ Grand Charity, the Masonic Samaritan Fund and the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys.
