The Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, Punjab, near Chandigarh, is based in Punjab. It was founded on 9 April 1979 by Late Maharani Mohinder Kaur of Patiala, the chief minister of Punjab. Every year on 9 April, the school celebrates founder's day. The school is a member of the Indian Public Schools Conference. The school is based on the lines of Public Schools.
The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (C.I.S.C.E.), New Delhi.
Maj Gen TPS Waraich (Retd) is the director of the school and Ms Kiran Rai is Deputy Headmistress.
Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, was awarded the British Council International School Award for the period 2015–18.
The Education World school ranking 2020-21 ranked YPS Mohali as the 8th overall best school in India in Co-ed Day-cum-Boarding School category. It ranked 14th in 2019–20.
YPS Mohali changed its logo to the logo of YPS Patiala in February 2017 as they are branches of the same school.
